Emanuel Swedenborg’s Spiritual Journey
Albums
Reade McCardell is a composer and musician hailing from the Mid-Atlantic. Requisitely, he shared yoke in a handful of bands, crafted incidental music for several independent films, and contributed backing vocals and instrumentation to multifarious albums in his twenties. The past decade and a lustrum have seen him pursuing solo ventures and taking on the role of producer for several recording projects. Reade has worked with a fascinating cast of characters, including but not limited to: Shelly Yakus (former chief engineer and vice president of A&M Records known for engineering records for the likes of Warren Zevon, Raspberries and John Lennon), Phil Nicolo (engineering, mixing and/or production BoySetsFire, Foreigner and The Police) and Glenn Barratt (producer Melody Gardot). His first solo full-length album, ‘Frets’, was independently released in 2015. ‘Tell Me I’m Wrong’, his curious sophomore effort, was deployed in February of 2019. He finds himself in the fine company of The Materialities currently – a protean quartet of kindly and statuesque beings.
