One of the most important kinds of intelligence angels
have is to know and perceive that all life comes from the
Lord, that heaven as a whole corresponds to his divine
humanity, and consequently that all angels, spirits, and
people correspond to heaven. It is also to know and perceive how they correspond. These are the fundamentals
of the intelligence in which angels excel, compared to us.
It enables them to have immeasurable knowledge and
perception about the heavens and therefore about the
world, since the phenomena of the world and nature are
means and results flowing from heavenly phenomena as
their origins. The whole material world is a theater representing the Lord’s kingdom.
