We were created to have an intellect and will that compose a single mind, which is what happens when our
intellect is at one with our will—that is, when our
thoughts and words match our intent and deeds. Then
the contents of our intellect are forms manifesting our
will. The contents of the intellect are what are called
truths, because truth belongs to the intellect. The contents of the will are what are called goodness, because
goodness belongs to the will. It follows, then, that regarded in itself, any product of the intellect is simply a
product of the will given shape.
