It needs to be known that our spirit is in our body, in the
whole and in every part of it. It is our purer substance, in
both our motor and our sensory organs and everywhere
else. Our body is the matter attached to it at every point
and suited to the world in which we now are. That is what
I mean by saying that a human being is a spirit, that the
body serves as a tool for useful activity in the world, that
the spirit is our inner part, and that the body is our outer
part. These comments also show that after death we have
a similar life of action and sensation, and that we are in
a human shape as in the world, but a more perfect one.
