People intent on goodness and therefore on truth—and
especially on the goodness that comes from loving the
Lord—have revelation from perception. People not in-
tent on goodness and therefore on truth can have revela-
tion but not from perception, only through a living voice
they hear inside them, that is, through angels from the
Lord. Audible revelation is outward; revelation from per-
ception is inward.
