Our voluntary activity is always leading us away from
the divine design, but our involuntary activity is always
leading us back to it. That is why the motion of the heart,
which is involuntary, is completely outside the province
of human will, as is the action of the cerebellum. It is also
why the motion of the heart and the forces of the cerebel-
lum control voluntary action, to keep it from rushing be-
yond certain bounds and snuffing out the life of the body
before its time.
