Goodness and truth that flow out from the intellect and
not at the same time from the will are not good or true,
however much they may appear so on the outside. When
there is a will for evil, goodness and truth divide rather
than unite. When there is any will for goodness, though,
they do not divide but unite, even if they are arranged
upside-down, because they are the means of our rebirth.
So arranged, they serve to regenerate us in the beginning.
