The whole of nature is a theater representing the Lord’s
kingdom. Divinity is in every part—so much so that there
is a representation of eternity and infinity as well. There
is a representation of eternity because plants propagate to
eternity, and there is one of infinity because seed multiplies
to infinity. These tendencies could never come out
in the various members of the plant kingdom unless
something divine exerts a constant influence. The influence
leads to the tendency, the tendency to a force, and
the force to the effect.
