Concerning the Word: In earliest times, when the church
was heavenly, there was no Word, because the people of
that church had the Word written on their hearts. The
Lord taught them directly through heaven what was
good and therefore what was true, enabling them to perceive
both concepts from love and charity and to learn
both concepts from revelation.
