The reason being buried means rising again, in an inner
sense, is that when the body has died, the soul rises again.
When the Word mentions burial, then, angels do not
think about the body that is cast off but the soul that rises
again. They are immersed in spiritual thinking and therefore
in matters relating to life. Everything in the physical
world connected with death consequently symbolizes
something in the spiritual world relating to life.
