Everything in us, whether in our outer or inner self, corresponds
with the universal human. Nothing ever comes
into existence or remains in existence if it lacks correspondence
with that human—or in other words, with
heaven, or in other words, with the spiritual world—
because it has no link with anything prior to itself. So
it has no link with the first origin, which is the Lord.
Anything unconnected and therefore independent cannot
survive for even a moment. Its continued existence
results from a link with and dependence on that which
brings everything into existence, because survival is perpetual
emergence. As a consequence, not only does each
and every thing in a person correspond but each and every
thing in the universe does too.
