The Lord’s church is plainly not “here or there” (Luke
17:12) but everywhere where people live by the commandments
of neighborly love. That is why the Lord’s
church lies scattered throughout the globe and yet is one
church. When religion consists in life, not in theology
separated from life, the church is unified.
