We ought to compel ourselves to do good, obey what the
Lord has commanded, and speak truly. In so doing we
are humbling ourselves under the Lord’s hands, or in other
words, submitting to the authority of divine goodness
and truth. This fact embraces more hidden information
than can possibly be explained in a few words.
