The situation is that when the earthly self adopts spiritual
qualities, everything produced by evil cravings and
false convictions—and so everything that disquiets us—
goes away. Everything involved in a desire for what is
good and true—and so everything that creates peace—
approaches. All disquiet is the result of evil and falsity,
while all peace is the result of goodness and truth.
