Curtis Childs is the digital media producer at the Swedenborg Foundation and host of the weekly web series Swedenborg and Life on the offTheLeftEye YouTube channel.
While obtaining his degree in communication studies from Oakland University, Curtis experienced an internal battle with depression that led him to question God, existence, and his lifelong interest in Swedenborgian theology. After a period of intense suffering, he recovered from his depression with the help of modern medicine, therapy, and a return to the spiritually uplifting messages he found in Swedenborg’s writings.
Now, Curtis is combining his desire to help others with his educational background by producing inspirational and thought-provoking video content for other spiritual seekers of various faith backgrounds from all over the world. His youthful vitality, mature presence, and deeply-rooted spirituality makes it easy for Curtis to talk about taboo topics like the afterlife and out-of-body, near-death, and paranormal experiences in a way that resonates across generations, cultures, and religions.
Because Curtis is exceptionally qualified to talk to a worldwide audience about how our connection to the spiritual world can help us create the best possible human experience on earth, he’s appeared on many international radio shows, podcasts, and YouTube shows, such as Talk Gnosis, Sunday Morning Spiritual, The Butterfly Moment, Dark Thirty Radio, We Don’t Die Radio, and much more!
