OffTheLeftEye Channel Hits 75,000 Subscribers

In early July, our offTheLeftEye YouTube channel passed the 75,000-subscriber milestone!

We had a surge of interest when the video “What Happens Immediately after You Die” took off, racking up 70,000 views and close to a million minutes in watch time in just two weeks, leading to a bump in new subscribers that put us over that key milestone. The video was the first episode in the summer season of our hit webcast Swedenborg & Life, which revolves around the afterlife and what happens to us after we die.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the new season yet, now is the perfect time to get caught up. The second episode of the season, “What Is Hell Really Like?” (July 15), explores the dark side of the spiritual world and how people end up there, while the third episode, “How to Get a Home in Heaven” (August 5), takes us in the opposite direction. The final episode of the season, “What Happens to Celebrities in the Afterlife” (September 2), will dig into Swedenborg’s encounters with well-known people of his time.

In between these episodes, you can take a deeper dive into the meaning of some famous biblical stories and passages with Swedenborg & Life Live, or get your Swedenborg questions answered on our panel show Good Question! These two shows rotate with Swedenborg & Life in our Monday night time slot at 8 p.m. Eastern U.S. time.

If you struggle with the meaning of some of Swedenborg’s writings, host Curtis Childs gives you a hand in News from Heaven, a twice-weekly webcast where Curtis goes through a short passage from Swedenborg’s works and explains not only what he was talking about, but what it means for us in our lives. Original episodes are posted on Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m.

Thanks to all of the viewers, subscribers, donors, and community members who help to make everything we do possible! If you’d like to contribute to help us reach the next 75,000, you can donate via our Causevox page and pick the option that’s right for you!
