A guide to help those who experience suicidal ideation heal and find peace.

By Gina Cavalier and Amelia Kelley
Foreword by Thomas Moore

Surviving Suicidal Ideation takes the reader on a profound journey through the underlying causes, stages, and powerful emotions that shape the experience of having suicidal thoughts. More importantly, it provides proven tools, exercises, and steps to curtail and heal this preventable condition. With sensitivity and clarity, Dr. Amelia Kelley and Gina Cavalier explore the interconnectedness of addiction, mental health, and trauma. The text features inspirational quotes from Emanuel Swedenborg throughout.

“Though I am doubtful a book on suicide ideation will be used by the time one is contemplating suicide, this book could save the lives of many and should be in the hands of every therapist,
psychiatrist, social worker, and counselor.” ~ International Book Publisher’s Association Awards Judge

Paperback and e-book, 272 pages

Reviews

Surviving Suicidal Ideation weaves mental health and spirituality in a manner that is both supportive and surprisingly engaging, given the seriousness of the topic.

While readers may feel overwhelmed with the somber weightiness of these topics, Cavalier and Kelley find a balance between addressing them appropriately and focusing on the hope and resilience that develop through the healing process. They normalize the feelings and thoughts one might experience in each of these areas.

Surviving Suicidal Ideation is a wonderful book for both professionals and nonprofessionals who wish to combine spirituality with a strong clinical perspective.
