Like many organizations, we’ve been paying close attention to the news about the spread of the novel coronavirus throughout the United States, including the Philadelphia metropolitan area, where our offices are located. In light of spread of the disease, we’re engaged in ongoing conversation about upcoming events:
Annual Meeting
Our annual meeting of annual and life members of the Swedenborg Foundation will instead be webcast live on the same date: May 2, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. We will distribute a link for watching the proceedings closer to the date of the meeting, which anyone is welcome to watch.
Because of technical requirements in our bylaws, there will be an in-person component to the meeting. While members are welcome to come to this, we urge them to consider the prevailing health conditions in the area before making the decision to join.
Annual and life members will receive information about the meeting with proxy forms in the mail soon. Even if you are planning to watch online, please return the proxy forms to us so that we can count you as “present” for business purposes.

OffTheLeftEye Experience
As the situation continues to evolve, we’ve come to the difficult conclusion that we need to cancel the OffTheLeftEye Experience, originally scheduled for June 5-8. For those who have already registered, we will be refunding registration fees soon; you will receive a separate communication about that.
We plan to reschedule the event, most likely for sometime in 2021, once we have a clearer understanding of how the pandemic will affect people’s ability to travel and gather in large groups over the long term.
