The Swedenborg Foundation is now making audio versions of Swedenborg’s writings available on Audible, an online audiobook streaming service.
Over the past few years, with many thanks to the volunteer effort of narrator Gordon Meyer, we have been creating audio versions of some of Swedenborg’s most popular works, including Heaven and Hell, Divine Love and Wisdom, Divine Providence, and True Christianity vol. 1 (with volume 2 currently in production). By popular demand, last year we began the process of reformatting our audiobooks to fit Audible’s format. We are pleased to announce that the first of these audiobooks is now available through their site and through Audible’s parent company, Amazon: Divine Love and Wisdom. The rest of the audiobooks that have been completed to date will follow in the coming months.
Audible is a subscription-based service that allows users to download and listen to audiobooks on their portable devices. A monthly fee allows users access to any of the books on the site; however, the site does not allow users to purchase individual audiobooks without a subscription. If you are not an Audible subscriber, you can still buy and download copies of our books any time in the Swedenborg.com bookstore.
