The Swedenborg and the Arts International Conference, to be held June 6–9, 2017 on the campus of Bryn Athyn College, Bryn Athyn, PA, is inviting scholars to submit proposals for papers to present at the conference.
The conference, the first of its kind, seeks to situate Emanuel Swedenborg in the history of the arts and explore his influence on artistic culture and aesthetics. Organizers are particularly looking for scholars in the fields of religious studies, literature and literary theory, art history and visual culture, the history of ideas, and other related subjects in the humanities.
Potential presenters are asked to submit the following:
- Paper title
- Abstracts of the proposed paper (no more than four hundred words)
- Short paragraph detailing the presenter’s professional CV
