The two-volume work True Christianity consists of a series of chapters that addresses the key theological topics of Swedenborg’s time. Nearly half of the first volume is about the nature of God and Jesus; other topics include sacred scripture, the Ten Commandments, and the interplay of faith and good works. The first third of the second volume lays out the path to regeneration, or spiritual growth; the second volume also has chapters on baptism and the Holy Supper (communion). The work wraps up with an outline of Swedenborg’s vision for the coming spiritual age, the New Jerusalem.
