Our weekly webcast Swedenborg and Life, featured on the offTheLeftEye YouTube channel, is excited to welcome a new co-host: Rev. Dr. Jonathan S. Rose.
Jonathan is the series editor of the New Century Edition of the Works of Emanuel Swedenborg, a new series of translations of Swedenborg’s theological works. In the three years since Swedenborg and Life first aired, he has been a frequent guest on the show, not only contributing his knowledge of Latin and rich experience in researching Swedenborg’s works but also offering a lifetime of practical experience in living Swedenborgian philosophy.
Before taking on his role as series editor, Jonathan was both a chaplain and a tenured professor of religion and sacred languages at Bryn Athyn College in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania. Holder of an MDiv in religion and a PhD in Latin, he has also contributed for years to the study of Neo-Latin, especially as it applies to Swedenborg’s works. He’s ordained in the General Church of the New Jerusalem, and he hosts the weekly Spirit and Life Bible Study on Wednesday nights.
Swedenborg and Life creator, producer, and host Curtis Childs will continue his role as the driving force behind the show, both on and off the screen.
